Tōtara Hospice provides specialist palliative care services to the districts of south and southeast Auckland. We are a local charity and our community of approximately 520,000+ people is one of New Zealand's largest and most diverse.
Our services support those with life-limiting illnesses such as cancers, long-term conditions e.g. kidney failure or neurological diseases e.g. motor neurone disease, with a focus on ensuring in every way possible that a person's final journey is experienced with comfort, care and dignity.
Our broad team of staff provide holistic, physical, emotional, psychological and social care and support.
At our hospice we recognise and embrace the diversity of all human beings and our services are free to all eligible individuals and their families/whānau, so that patients and their whānau are able to focus on living every moment that they have left together and that their final journey is experienced with comfort, care, and dignity where possible.
We are proud to work alongside colleagues in our community including General Practice, Residential Care and Hospital teams to achieve the best outcomes possible for our patients and their families/whānau.
We are a registered Charitable Trust governed by a Board of Trustees and are a member of Hospice New Zealand.
