Now more than ever, your support matters

Hikoi for Hospice

Tōtara Hospice has been a cornerstone of compassionate care in South and South East Auckland for over 40 years, providing specialist palliative services to adults and their whānau — always free of charge, always with aroha.

As a charity, we receive only partial government funding. Recent financial constraints have forced us to reduce patient services and make the heartbreaking decision to let go of nearly 20% of our dedicated staff. On top of this, a suspicious fire has impacted one of our key fundraising arms.

How You Can Help
Donate: Every dollar helps us continue providing essential care to those facing life-limiting illness.
Clear out your cupboards and donate: (Please note: our Takanini store is temporarily closed — find other locations here).
Spread the Word: Share our story. Rally your friends, family, and community to walk with us and stand for hospice care.

Why It Matters
Hospice is about dignity, comfort, and support — not just for patients, but for their loved ones too. With your help, we can ensure Tōtara Hospice continues to serve our community for the next 40 years and beyond.
