Online component

Access the free online session through Ko awatea, under Hospice New Zealand. All online sections must be completed before registering and attending the onsite workshop

Onsite workshop

The one-day workshop is held at Tōtara Hospice Hugo Community Learning Centre. The interactive workshop helps consolidate the online component of the Fundamentals of palliative care.

  • Cohort 1 – April 23rd 9-3.30pm
  • Cohort 2 – June 25th 9 – 3.30pm
  • Cohort 3 – November 26th 9 – 3.30pm

Time: 9 – 3.30pm

Venue: Tōtara Hospice, 140 Charles Prevost Drive, The Gardens, Manurewa

Cost: $80 per person

Maximum number of participants: 15

Payment & Booking: Full payment is required when booking the training. Your spot is secured only once payment is received. We reserve the right to cancel or reassign your booking if payment is not made in time. Course fees are non-refundable once the course has started or if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: You may cancel or reschedule a booking if you notify us at least 24 hours before the session. In that case we will transfer you to another available date (one transfer only per person) with a NZ$25 administration fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice forfeit the full fee. If we must cancel or postpone the course (e.g. due to unforeseen circumstances), we will inform you as soon as possible and refund any fees paid (or apply them to a future session)

Attendance: You must complete any required online modules before joining the in-person workshop. Complying with Tōtara Hospice’s health and safety requirements is mandatory. Disruptive behaviour or failure to comply with health and safety requirements may result in removal from the course without refund.

Liability: Tōtara Hospice is not responsible for outcomes beyond the skills and knowledge assessed as part of this course. By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and accepted these conditions.
