When someone is living with a life-limiting illness, the right care can make all the difference. From expert pain management to emotional and whānau support, Hospice walks alongside families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Florence is one of the many people supported by Tōtara Hospice. At just 47, with a young family around her, she experienced severe pain that left her unable to sleep or speak comfortably. With urgent support from the Hospice team, her pain was brought under control, and she was able to rest, recover, and feel at ease again. More than the medical care, it was the compassion and reassurance that helped her feel safe and supported.
